Spanish Journeys (3rd-6th)

ISL offers a comprehensive Spanish program for children in grades 3-6, suitable for both beginners and those looking to expand their existing knowledge. Our classes start by learning and reviewing our foundation topics to ensure a solid foundation. Some of these topics are: Greetings, the alphabet, numbers, colors, days of the week, months, and many more. Each session introduces two core topics, explored in-depth throughout the session. The two core topics vary each session, ensuring your child never repeats the same material. We focus on expanding vocabulary, forming sentences, and encouraging active use of the language. Examples of rotating core topics: Animals, food, the house, verbs, body parts, clothes, professions, the city, and many more. Every student receives handouts to use in class and at home. Small class sizes, led by native-speaking, experienced teachers, create an engaging and motivating environment. Diverse learning styles are catered to through: Conversation, music, flashcards, reading and writing, games, art, and storybooks. Every two weeks, parents receive an email update from the teacher detailing class activities and providing suggestions for at-home reinforcement, helping to solidify the lessons learned in class.
